Dixie De La Tour, creator of Bawdy Storytelling now hosts and curates Bona Fide Storytelling. Bona Fide is an interactive and live stage performance series that focuses on the stories that change our lives - the big, no holds barred tales that you don't share at a job interview. Funny, brave, transformational & true revelations, all hosted by a story coach and curator who loves to help people craft their lives into a stageworthy, relatable adventure.
This is PG-13 Storytelling, because you deserve to be treated like an adult. You'll laugh, you'll cry - it's waaaaaay better than CATS.

Performer Bios:

❤ J. W. Friedman is a long-time San Francisco resident who relocated in the early 2000's from the swamps of Central Florida. A humorist, comic, broadcaster, and musician, J. has dedicated most of his life to pursuits that others would consider frivolous, but ones that he considers "rad as heck". As the host of "I Don't Even Own a Television", a bi-weekly comedy podcast about bad books, Friedman and his co-host delve into the humorous aspects of some of the worst writing ever published, and do so with a jocular, light-hearted tone that has more in common with NPR than the dark corners of the internet. He has also recorded over fifteen albums of post-modern hip hop as "Satellite High".
A staunch advocate for social justice, and a walking encyclopedia of professional wrestling knowledge, J. W. Friedman contains multitudes, and enjoys nothing more than making people laugh.

❤ Dixie De La Tour is a sexual folklorist, storyteller, entrepreneur, teacher, catalyst, coach, community builder, facilitator, & instigator (& that’s just for starters). She is the founder, curator & host of the award-winning sex and storytelling series, Bawdy Storytelling (“The nation’s original sex and storytelling series” – Playgirl, “The Moth for Pervs” – LA Weekly)
Called “a stiff shot of courage in a push-up bra”, Dixie is passionate about storytelling’s power to connect strangers. A former sex party producer & adult dating site community manager, she founded Bawdy Storytelling, a multi-city brand of sex-positive self advocacy that's changing the world and making our relationships more authentic and accessible.
As a storyteller, Dixie’s own dating stories can been heard on the Risk! podcast and her own Bawdy Storytelling podcast (which was selected by as a top 5 ‘Best Sex Podcast’) Ping her (she likes that) at @Bawdy, & at

❤ Bandee is currently a philosophy student in San Francisco, who, as his favorite Philosopher Thomas Berry also believes, "we live in between the stories". An engineer by profession, and an explorer by heart, he has lived and worked in 4 continents and can tell stories in English, Hindi, Spanish and German.

❤ Lora Lewis is a writer, educator and the mother of a child who reminds her what truly matters every single day. She believes in the power of art to transform lives, cultures, and politics, and thinks that we could heal many of the world's greatest problems if only we listened to each other's stories.

❤ Christina Olsen is a 4th generation California who considers herself bi-coastal, having spent her 20s in New York. Don't you think that a CA/NY blend makes for the perfect accent? By day she’s a highly creative marketer and entrepreneur - doing the Silicon Valley grind. In the evening / on weekends you will find you’ll find her mixing cocktails, taking a cooking class, hanging near the ocean, hiking or exploring new restaurants with friends and lovers.
